Project Overview
A section of a DN150 vitrified clay foul water sewer at a depth of approx. 2 metres had collapsed
underneath the extension of a property running from the front to rear gardens, between structural
supporting ground piles.
Description of Works
By utilising the TS Guided Rod Pro, we strategically set it alongside the existing foul sewer pipe,
maintaining a 200mm separation to ensure precision. The pilot bore was tracked and guided from
above ground through the property using a sonde within the drill head with remarkable accuracy
to maintain the line, level and constant gravity falls, seamlessly reaching our desired position at the
back of the property.
The new 110mm PE pipe was efficiently attached to the rear of the expansion head and
successfully pulled back into place at the launch pit. Once the rig was lifted out of the excavation,
this allowed necessary connections into the outfall and reinstatement.
